About Me

Melissa Grandberg

I am a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate (RCT-C) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. I hold a MEd. of Counselling degree and a Bachelor of Community Development (Honours), both of which inform my approach to counselling.

I am an integrative therapist, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches with intention, rather than a single framework or predetermined formula. What works for one person may not work for another, and what you need today may shift over time. I pay attention to that and adapt accordingly. Working collaboratively with you, we will shape an approach that fits your unique needs, moves at your own pace, and feels most relevant for you right now.

I work with teens and adults across a wide range of experiences, and I am committed to creating an affirming space for people of all identities and communities, including queer, trans, neurodivergent, disabled, BIPOC, ENM, and polyamorous folks. Our struggles do not happen in isolation, and neither does our healing. We are shaped by our histories, relationships, cultural contexts, and the broader systems we move through. I hold that context with care. I bring an anti-oppressive, sex- and kink-positive, and trauma-informed lens to all of my work.
